Pumpkin Puree is very delicious and nutritious for your baby. Add a touch of cinnamon for more flavor.
Pumpkin Puree Baby Food Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 lb. pie pumpkin or 1 15 oz can 100% pure pumpkin
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Method
- Peel, seed and cut the pumpkin in uniform pieces. Then place the pumpkin into a saucepan and add just enough water to cover. Add cinnamon. Bring to boil over high heat, then reduce heat to medium and continue to cook until very tender.
- Then remove from heat and use a submersible blender to puree. Pureeing can also be done in batches in the blender. Let mixture cool, then poor into ice cube trays, be careful not to overfill individual ice cube compartments. Freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight, then you can store each baby food cube in zippered freezer bags.
- If using can pumpkin, simply add cinnamon and slowly add water until the desired consistency is achieved, then freeze.
