Mangos make a great dessert treat for your baby that is nutritious too!

Mango Dango Baby Food Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Mangos
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

  1. Peel, core, and cut the mangos in uniform pieces. Then place the mangos into a saucepan and add just enough water to cover. Add vanilla extract. You must add the extract at the beginning so that the alcohol cooks off. Bring to boil over high heat, then reduce heat to medium and continue to cook until very tender.
  2. Then remove from heat and use a submersible blender to puree. Pureeing can also be done in batches in the blender. Let mixture cool, then poor into ice cube trays, be careful not to overfill individual ice cube compartments. Freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight, then you can store each baby food cube in zippered freezer bags.
