Do you do guests posts or can I guest post here? Well of course! Just send me an email with your ideas. Be sure to pitch me an idea first. You can contact me directly with your ideas.
Do you do product or book reviews? Of course, I would be happy to try out any new products, just contact me. Unlike some reviewers, I do not say anything if I don’t have something nice to say. So, rest assured I will only post positive, truthful reviews, or no reviews at all.
What kind of computer do you use? I presently go back and forth between my hubby’s new energy saving Macintosh, and my old mac book G4. I could not live without a Mac and my iphone. I have never had a virus on any computer, I can’t say enough wonderful things about Macintosh. We have an older desktop that runs 24/7 that’s 10 years old, and never had a problem with a virus or anything.
Nice layout and theme, where did you get it? You can see the link in my footer to the person that designed the theme. I spent alot of rime customizing it, so if you go and check out the free version of this theme, it looks much different. This is my third redesign, and I am sticking with it.
What camera are you using? I am now using a Canon Rebel 300d. I use a 50mm 1.8, and have a 100mm on my wish list. I am learning on a Sigma D9 DSLR. I am experimenting with different lenses and presently using it. All photography taken before Oct 1, 2009 was taken with a Nikon L20.
What photo editing software do you use? I am presently using Photoshop. I also use Aperture, and want to try Lightroom. I shoot in raw mode then edit in Photoshop Raw. I then open the file in Photoshop and just save for web and devices as a jpeg. One size for my blog, and a smaller size for the food porn sites.
What are your favorite kitchen brands? For pots and pans, I love All-Clad, without the nonstick finish. For my cast iron, Lodge. For knives, Wusthof. Most of my cooking utensils are also All-Clad, and some are just things I picked up at the super center. My stand mixer is a Kitchen-Aid. My coffee maker, coffee grinder, immersion blender and food processor are all Cuisinart. My blender is a bee hive Oster. My hand mixer is a Hamilton Beach.
Do you have a kitchen item you can’t bear to part with? Yes, my oven probe thermometer. It makes roasting meats so easy. Just set and forget it until the beeper goes off saying your meat has reached the correct temperature. I love it!
