Oh Yeah I found it. I never imagined how similar and simple, just like apple sauce! I must be very ‘apple sheltered’ lol Haven’t ever jarred on my own but I do remember grandma doing it. Thank you for the step by step instructions on that too!

Thank you for this marvelous recipe! My mother-in-law showed me how to can applesauce for the first time a couple of weeks ago and now I’m excited to continue. She told me how to cook the applesauce longer to get apple butter, but honestly, I like the sound of this crockpot version! Printing and saving this post right now . . . ! 8-D

oh my gosh, apple butter reminds me of my aunt and my grandmother. It’s been years since I’ve had any. They used to make it themselves and the store bought stuff just isn’t the same. I think I may have to try this.
